Promoting world class acts
Sometimes you have to try something new. For the latest jazzopen, its promoter Opus partnered up with Future Demand to promote a couple of jazz and soul concerts, a territory Future Demand was not very experienced with until then. But the campaigns were very successful.
Opus is the company behind the internationally renowned jazzopen music festival, one of the greatest of its kind worldwide. For the latest edition, Opus partnered with Future Demand to promote jazz and soul concerts — a territory Future Demand had not worked in extensively until then.
Challenge
The jazzopen has featured a long list of famous artists from jazz, blues, soul and rock over the past decades. About 50,000 visitors come to Stuttgart, Germany every year to attend the festival. In 2022 the jazzopen ran for 11 consecutive days in July with multiple stages. Opus wanted to drive ticket sales for concerts in genres Future Demand had not previously focused on.
Solution
Opus opted to promote three of the several concerts that were happening on the Stuttgarter Schlossplatz, where the biggest stage of the jazzopen is located. The campaigns ran on Facebook for a couple of weeks for the Magic Jazz Night and the concerts of Jorja Smith & Celeste and John Legend & Jessie J that took place on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening respectively.
Results
- Return on ad spend: the campaigns achieved an ROAS of more than 13:1.
- Tickets sold: more than 500 people were encouraged to buy a ticket with the targeted and interest-based campaigns.
- Additional sales revenue: a medium 5-digit additional revenue for our client.
The success of the campaigns proved that the Future Demand platform works very well for jazz and soul events and everything related to them.
