World star vibes in Stuttgart
Once a year the who is who of jazz and related genres takes over the city of Stuttgart for multiple days. For this years edition Opus decided to promote the concert of rising star Jorja Smith via the Future Demand platform and could see it pay off completely.
Once a year the who’s who of jazz and related genres takes over Stuttgart for multiple days. Jorja Smith has had a fast-paced career since her debut in 2016. The Brit has already collaborated with world stars such as Kendrick Lamar and Drake and is being mentioned as the successor to Rihanna or Amy Winehouse. For her concert at this year’s jazzopen, London’s Celeste and U.S.’s Suzanne Vega joined Jorja on stage.
Challenge
Opus live, the organiser behind the jazzopen, wanted to fill seats for Jorja Smith’s concert — one of three events promoted via the Future Demand platform. It took place on the second Thursday evening during the 11-day jazzopen 2022 on the stage at Stuttgart’s Schlossplatz, the center of the annual festival.
Solution
Opus live decided to use a 4-figure ad budget via Wave for the concert, running the ads on Facebook.
Results
- Additional tickets sold: more than 400, corresponding to an increase in capacity of almost 50%.
- Additional revenue: in the mid 5-digit range, exceeding the advertising budget by a factor of 20.
